| Finishes; | The specification called for a high quality exposed concrete finish. OPC exceeded the clients quality requirements using precast elements. | |
| Design | :From a design point of view, OPC came up with a system which mirrors an insitu concrete system, but using precast elements. The client and their design team insisted that there would be no changes to the original insitu design, i.e., no down stand beams and no alterations to column sizes, floor depths etc. OPC provided a Precast Flat Slab Solution. This is a reinforced precast floor solution with no camber. Please note this is not a pre-stressed floor. Any ope requirements are treated exactly the same as an insitu floor ope. The edge shutter for the floor is cast with the floor units. All mechanical & electric requirements are cast into the plate floor during the automated manufacture process . | |
