The exposed precast concrete perimeter beams play an important role in defining the external elevations of this commercial building

MAIN CONTRACTOR Purcell Construction
ARCHITECT Paul Dillon Architects
ENGINEER O'Connor Sutton Cronin
ONSITE DURATION 2 weeks

The exposed nature of the beams meant that special consideration had to be given to cast in items, such as temporary bracing sockets and lifters. The location of joints and chamfer details was also of high importance. The connection to the internal concrete slab incorporated a structural thermal break element. RIAI winner of best commercial / retail building 2011.
